There is a risk that opening a primary school too early, or having one that is too large, will be a problem for existing schools in the surrounding area - Cherry Hinton Primary, Colville, Bewick Bridge, Fen Ditton and Teversham primary schools are all under subscribed. Colville has capacity for 2 form entry but currently only have 1 form intake. Very important that a primary school does not open too early.
Also the developer should not be funding new schools - this should come from Department for Education! S106 contributions should be put into other community facilities. (The developer may want to as it can raise house prices.)
