Already heavy congestion in Cherry Hinton High Street from 7.50 am during the week. Too many cars which hold up too few buses (ie they get caught up in the traffic jams!) and unsafe cycle paths as cars reverse out of driveways straight into the cycle paths and they drive too close to cyclists
The existing bus service is heavily over subscribed at peak times and it can take 50 minutes just to get to Addenbrookes Hospital from the NISA shop in Cherry Hinton High Street and over an hour into town where I work due to congestion in Cherry Hinton High Street and along Hills Road. Are there going to be more buses on the route to take the inevitable extra passengers and is it going to take even longer to get to work due to even more cars going through the High Street in the morning? I was knocked off my bike 6 years ago on my way home from work along Queen Ediths Way and now only cycle for leisure. It would take at least an hour and a half if not more to walk to town and I do not think that is an option.

3.17 - The bus services (18, 17, 16A) are too infrequent to be of any value
3.16 - The existing doctors do not satisfy the needs of the existing population
It is already a struggle to get an appointment at the doctors. The local hospital - Addenbrookes - is almost always on 'black' and declaring internal incidents. I cannot see how the area can support such huge numbers of additional people without upgrading the existing service.

This map shows that existing bus stops are not close enough to many parts of this new development. In particular there are no bus stops near the site of the proposed new secondary school.
