Totally inappropriate – will detract from beauty of Cambridge and surrounding flat fenland landscape
What guarantees are there that all developers will not opt for 13 storey, high density to maximise profit?
Variance from Local Plan – why this variance is important enough to be allowed is not explained.
Highest density and thereby highest buildings congregated at one site (Cowley Road) leading to lack of “community”

Have you ever lived in a flat with a balcony? 1500mm minimum depth / width? That is an unusable space.
The other proposals are great but will the developers adhere to them?

The proposal generally seems fine but I feel it doesn't go far enough. Only requiring residential units to "meet the residential space standards" when generally most consider these standards to be too small and the really bare minimum. It would of been nice to see Cambridge go one up and require a +10-15% as a minimum on the standards.
It would also be good to ensure lobbies, hall ways (leading to apartments) and other shared spaces in the buildings also have natural light at regular intervals and comments on fire safety,

Residential cycle parking should allow a minimum of one space for each child or adult in the development, plus facilities for large cycles or cycle accessories (such as child seats and trailers) which are key enablers of a car-free lifestyle. At least one in 10 spaces should accommodate non-standard cycles such as cargo bikes or handcycles. One quarter of disabled commuters in Cambridge travel to work by cycle and this has the potential to be much higher with the right infrastructure and facilities such as spacious, secure cycle parking. Residential cycle parking must never be two-tier, high-low or [semi-]vertical racks; it must be at least as accessible to people of all abilities as the Local Plan requires and we encourage going above and beyond current policy to deliver very high-quality cycle parking.

Policy 11 sets out the housing design standards for residential development within North East
Cambridge. It is noted that criteria (b) includes a requirement for private outdoor space which can
be provided as private balconies. As set out above, it is anticipated that the proposed residential
uses at the Nuffield Road Industrial Estate site would include balconies for private outdoor space.
However, it is considered that the existing operations at the builders merchant on the Ridgeons
site could be incompatible with private balconies on building facades adjacent to this site, in
terms of potential noise generating activities.
