Waterbeach - Designation of Neighbourhood Area - June 2015

I am writing on behalf of Sustrans, the charity that's enabling people to travel by foot, bike or public transport for more of the journeys we make every day.

Waterbeach is a large village which has a greater range of services than do neighbouring villages. The Neighbourhood Area should be drawn wider, to recognise the importance of Waterbeach's services and its railway station to the surrounding area. As well as most or all of Waterbeach Parish it should include the core of Landbeach, IQ Park and areas on the eastern side of the River Cam within say 2 miles of Bottisham Lock and Clayhithe Bridge, ie areas within Horningsea and Lode civil parishes, whose parish councils should be represented in the development of a Waterbeach Neighbourhood Plan
