How much development and where?
Representation ID: 58325
Received: 13/12/2021
Respondent: Linton Parish Council
Question the need for so many homes, what is this number based on? Changes in lifestyle and lower population growth could see less need for new homes - e.g urban commercial buildings changing to housing, downsizing. Brownfield sites to be prioritised.

Do we have resources for more development? In particular, Water is in short supply with over-abstraction threatening aquifers and rivers. Suitable transport infrastructure, not car based, with homes close to work.

Support new settlements . Villages and minor rural centres should be the last resort in hierarchy of development - these have probably already taken more than their share, to the detriment of community, character and infrastructure..
