Anderson Group(AG), as landowner, supports Policy S/C/SCL ‘Land South of Coldham’s Lane, Cambridge’. AG has recently submitted a planning application in accordance with the direction of adopted Policy 16 and emerging S/C/SCL. The application includes for Parcel B (ecological land to the north west) and Parcel C (The Lakes, to createan urban country park).
AG support the intentions to put the site (Figure 24, First Proposals) to commercial use, and alongside to deliver Parcels B and C as a comprehensive approach to the Area of Major Change to create a significant new area of public open space.
Representation – S/C/SCL
This representation is made on behalf of Anderson Group (AG) in support of Policy S/C/SCL ‘Land South of Coldham’s Lane, Cambridge’.
AG is the landowner and supports the continuation of the intentions of the existing site policy and allocation (Policy 16 of the Adopted Cambridge City Local Plan). AG has been progressing proposals through a Planning Performance
Agreement for a mixed-commercial scheme to the site and has recently submitted a planning application in accordance with the direction of Policy 16. The planning application includes for the other parcels within the wider area of the designated Area of Major Change, being the Parcel B (ecological land to the north west) and Parcel C to the south (The Lakes, to become a new area of public open space as an urban country park). The planning application, including an Environmental Impact Assessment, includes a full technical assessment of the site (including Parcels B and C) and confirms the site remains deliverable.
AG support emerging policy S/C/SCL and its intentions to put the site (as shown in Figure 24 of the First Proposals) to commercial use, and alongside to bring forward Parcel B and C to form a comprehensive approach to the Area of Major Change and, importantly, to bring forward the ‘Lakes’ as a significant new area of public open space.
