If I'm reading teh info correctly, there are 8000 new homes planned, but only 2 primary schools, and only some space set aside for a secondary school, but no commitment to build one? Even if only 25 % of families that move in to those new schools have kids, thats 2000 children. Where are they supposed to go for schooling?

As the plan is for 8,000 new homes I think that more than one community centre is required. Community-bookable spaces are required for community groups to grow, but there are only 7 evenings of each week and that would quickly be filled up with a group a night in just one community centre.

Again looks amazing. What I'd like to see in addition to an arts centre and outdoor performance venue. Post Covid world shows the benefit of this as the arts suffer in this climate. Outdoor community space like a garden / bee keeping that children and adults can contribute to would be lovely too for the same reasons. Rentable BBQs in outdoor space (common in Switzerland)

Outlined in the 2018 local plan was the need for facilities of all ages. I hope some care will be taken to rethink what a community needs. A local gym that can support the local residents and only the local residents. Many people will be moving in and therefore giving up their use of a car, those who don't have a gym provided in their work place (the majority of people) will want somewhere other than the outdoor areas provided. Gyms serve as a safe place to work out for all ages, and highlight the benefits of physical activity to young children. Of course the majority of learning should be done in school. I was surprised at the lack of mention of pubs or areas related to a pub. I'm sure the benefit of a local pub doesn't need to be brought up, but I will anyway. I'm sure residents would not like to still rely on the services of the City centre when it comes to the weekend. Social meeting places like this will serve the area well, they would however be best placed in areas more accessible to the rest of the city, and a strong ability to be policed etc for anti social behaviour. Overall there was a lack of mention towards general social meeting places outlined.

A swimming pool for this number of people would seem essential. An outdoor paddling pool in one of the parks would be a good idea too, and an area like Sheep's Green.

For the number of homes and the number of people you expect to move here there doesn’t seem to be that many medical facilities for them ?

Possibly but not if the overall development is as dense as these plans. Young people will want to mix with friends around and about, not just around their homes; older people would run a mile from living there.

Not sure.. Community should include outdoor spaces, for people to meet, lots of green areas, herb gardens? Biodiverse areas cafes, music studio for budding artists, some themed areas.. A modern market place perhaps and a heart to the community.. Not all roads leading to transport hubs.. Skateboarding Park a studio for budding film students..

Schools and a doctors are not cultural facilities. There are these services plus a library and a community centre in Arbury. As you will know, this has not made the area have any culture. This is not how you create culture. Has anyone really thought further about planning this than doing a lot of construction work? What a dismal, barren plan for people's environments you have created.
