I wholeheartedly support the village plan which has been put together thoughtfully and reflects the special character of our village.

In particular, I support the idea that new developments should be consistent with the scale, form and material of existing vernacular buildings.

I would add that, as we are in an area that has a history of market gardening and retains a thriving community of allotments, we might request that developers plan the house to have larger gardens. I don't mean massive gardens - just larger that a postage stamp. Promoting developments with larger gardens will enable villagers to have space to retain the link with the market gardening heritage of our area.
