Sport England are concerned that the document does not adequately address the issue of the existing golf driving range within the area covered by the Action Plan. Sports facilities should be protected from development unless suitable alternative facilities are being provided, or unless it can be demonstrated through a robust assessment of facility provision that there is a clear surplus of this type of facility within the catchment area.
