There is a very strong need for a bridge over the railway line, and this should be a road, cycle and pedestrian bridge. The land after Cambridge north station is currently only accessible by Fen Road with the need to cross a level crossing. This is not a feasible option going forwards and will significantly limit the possible number of trains going through Cambridge North station, and hence the overall development of Cambridge North East.
